Injured Man Found In Park Dies In Westchester, Police Investigating

A young man was discovered with critical injuries in a public park in Westchester before later dying of his wounds, prompting a police investigation.

The incident happened in Yonkers on Tuesday, Feb. 21, when a man in his late 20s or early 30s was found alone in Grant Park with life-threatening injuries around 8:10 a.m., according to Detective Lt. Dean Politopoulos.

First responders then gave the man medical aid before he was taken to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

An investigation into the unnamed man's death is now ongoing. Police do not believe the death was a homicide.

More information may be released as the investigation continues, Politopoulos said.
